405. Albert BOYLAND was born in 1878 in 3 Providence Place Portsmouth. He has reference number 571. 1901 Census shows Albert as Royal Navy Stoker living 5 Providence Place Landport.
From the National Archive I found that Albert was in the Navy from 1897 until 1905 when he was discharged for theft and served ninety days in prison.He did not complete the twelve years he signed for.
No records as yet found for a marriage.(as at October 2008)
His service record prior to this misdemeanor was very good,he serve on a number of ships and several different land bases around the Portsmouth area.
Again on the 1901 census from Find my Past,records. shows him at 61 Princes Street,Portsmouth.
Albert is living with Mother Angelina and step-father Henry Charles. shown as Stoker Royal Navy.

Also,shown are Alberts step brothers and sisters.

Beatrice,Bert, Ernest,Leonard and Sidney J Boyland who was a well documented Police Officer and Ambulance driver during the second world war.
7th November 2008 and further research.(Important note) Albert was brother to my grandfather,Henry Charles Boyland 1871.
From Kelly's Directory at Portsmouth Library,Albert and his wife are given as living at 14 Wickham Street,Portsmouth in 1917 also in 1924 at same address,thereafter,only a Mrs Boyland shown.

Albert BOYLAND and Annie BRADY were married in March Quarter 1904 in HOLBORN.LONDON.. Annie BRADY was born (date unknown).
