Can there be a Link?

For many years now,I have believed that the name BOYLAND,began originally in the West Country,England,so this page will be devoted to trying to find a way in which this can be proven,or otherwise,

Therefore,anyone who is,or has been engaged in the research of the BOYLAND name,is now invited to come aboard and help solve this mystery?

In particular,It would be really great if someone could provide information to show that the name is linked between IRELAND,SCOTLAND and LIVERPOOL.

I will now endevour to give would be fellow researchers,something to maybe provide food for thought? and information now following is from the International Genealogy Index,better known to many as the IGI.

In the 1881 census which I appreciate is but a guide,and should be used as such,I extracted the numbers of Boyland's resident at time of census in the following locations.And please note that I mean only this spelling B O Y L A N D.I realise that there are many variations,so lets not get too confused?

First, a possible link??? although I have been unable to find definate information.

Stockland in Devon gives a William Boyland,born 1842 who went to Ireland to marry Isabella Jane Brady in Lisburn,Down 15TH September 1865.There were four children,Samuel 1868,James1870,Annie M, 1872 and William 1875.Note the dates? because in 1881 the whole family was to be found at 20 Dysart Terrace,Llanllwchaiarn,Mongomery,Wales. Must be some food for thought here???

 IRELAND--- Earliest to be found= Richard Boyland 1682,parents????From where???

               SCOTLAND--- Earliest to be found=Janet Boyland 1696,so who were her parents?and where did they come from?

                                England,to include LIVERPOOL/Lancashire,

           and the WEST COUNTRY,IE DEVON,DORSET,AVON,and SOMERSET.

Earliest found is Richard De Boyland,born circa 1216 in Wiltshire,England.This man can be found in various other parts of England,his occupation was an Itnerate Judge,ie Travelling Judge.

All that I can add to all of this is that without doubt many questions remain unanswered,so where do we go from here?Anyone got any ideas?
